France, 23rd Apr 2025 – The sixth installment of the *Global Citizens Open Innovation SDGs Challenge* has kicked off marking continued momentum toward achieving the 17 United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This global initiative invites citizens across the world to form teams, develop a plan for tangible solutions addressing any of the 17 SDGs, which range from ending poverty and ensuring quality education to combating climate change and promoting sustainable communities.

The challenge is open to all—regardless of age, background, or expertise—encouraging participants to think creatively and propose projects that are capable of real-world implementation. Submissions may include technological innovations, social enterprises, or community-based initiatives, reflecting diverse ways global citizens can contribute to a sustainable future.

“We believe the key to solving the world’s most critical problems lies in the ingenuity and engagement of global citizens,” said Lisa La Bonte, founder of the Challenge and CEO of Uplifting Ventures. “This challenge is an opportunity for anyone with a great idea to help shape a better tomorrow.”

Submissions are accepted throughout the 100-day rolling Challenge period with a deadline of July 31. A panel of experts will evaluate submissions based on feasibility, originality, viability and potential impact. Winners will receive support in attaining missing elements for launch such as marketing, technology, legal, and funding assistance.

To support entrants, a series of webinars and workshops will be offered to deepen understanding of the SDGs and to help refine ideas. Participants can register via the official website, www.SDGsChallenge.org and submit solutions now until the Challenge deadline of July 31.

Adopted by all UN Member States in 2015, the 17 SDGs serve as a universal blueprint for a better, more sustainable future by 2030 –now a mere six years away making this challenge even more critical to accelerating progress.
